Unrestricted Free Agents (UFA)All players who are not on a current roster, or who are not associated with an open or upcoming Rookie draft, are eligible to be nominated as UFAs. How to nominate an UFA:- for, Off-season nominations:
On the UFA board, start a new thread between midnight Monday and midnight Friday.
- for, In-season nominations:
On the UFA board, start a new thread between midnight Thursday and 8pm Tuesday. UFA bids will close at a scheduled time on Wednesday night.
A player must be nominated by 8 pm Tuesday for a player to be eligible to be bid on Wednesday of each week. I would prefer that all nominations be made Mon & Tues of each week to keep things clear.
The schedule will be as follows: Nominations 1-5 of each week close @ 10:00 pm CENT Wed Nominations 6-10 of each week close @ 10:10 pm CENT Wed Nominations 11-15 of each week close @ 10:20 pm CENT Wed etc. Subject to the 2 min extension rule
- Subject of post should include the player's name, position, and real NFL team in the subject.
- Include your opening bid in the post.
Bids:- You can place a bid on UFAs anytime after they are posted up to the deadline.
- You must post a bid with higher value than the previously posted bid.
- Value = annual salary X contract years
- Salaries may be in $.5 increments (1/2 dollar).
e.x. a $5/3 bid = value of $15 and will trump a $7/2 bid = value of $14 DeadlinesOff-season. Bidding will be open until 10 pm Sunday evening. In-season. Bidding will be open until 10 pm Wednesday evening.

Starting in 2010, any UFA acquired during the season will be signed to a 1 year contract, and is NOT eligible to be a Franchised or RFA tagged player the following season.
They will be put back into the UFA pre-season pool the following season.
Bids on in-season UFAs will be done on the MFL site, in a blind bidding format weekly.
