Each summer we will hold a three (3) round rookie draft after the actual NFL draft, at a time posted in advance.
*In 2009 the draft will start with the 1.01 pick on the clock beginning @ 8:00 AM central on MONDAY, JUNE 22nd.

Order
- Each round of the draft will be in reverse order of our league standings.
- Picks 21 through 28 will be assigned to play-off teams.
- Picks 1 through 20 will be assigned to non play-off teams.
- Standings tiebreakers will be used to determine order when necessary.
- For 2009 only, we will use the order based on your NFL teams' actual 2008 W-L results.
Process
- The rookie draft will be hosted on the MFL site:
www16.myfantasyleague.com/2009/home/55225 - You will make your picks on the MFL Site
- Each round will have a 24 hour time limit for each pick.
- Your clock starts as soon as the team ahead of you makes your pick, even if the team does not take the entire 24 hours.
- If you fail to make a pick by the deadline, the highest player selected in the actual NFL draft, at an eligible roster position, will be selected for you.
- MFL provides two ways to queue your selections, one will make your selection immediately upon you going on the clock, the other waits until the clock expires to make your pick, chose the appropriate option, if any, to assist you in making your picks.
Trades
- If you trade your pick while OTC, the clock does NOT restart for the team that acquires your pick.
- Once a trade is approved, the draft board will be updated to show the new owner.
- The owner listed must make the pick, if a trade is pending and you have traded for a pick, you should instruct the owner listed to make the pick on your behalf.
- Staff will attempt to review trades involving draft picks as quickly as possible.
Signing Rookies
- Prior to the SUNDAY before Kickoff Night of the NFL season, you must sign your rookies to a contract.
- Unsigned rookies will be cut, with no cap penalty, and will be available to all teams as UFAs.
- Once signed, rookies count against your 18 player minimum, 23 player maximum.
Rookie Contracts
- 1st round picks will contract min of 1 year, and max of 4yrs, with a $4 salary per year.
- 2nd round picks will contract min of 1 year, and max of 3yrs, with a $2 salary per year.
- 3rd round picks will contract min of 1 year, and max of 3yrs, with a $1 salary per year.
